Coffee, Hangers, Women's Underwear, Reading Glasses, Socks, Ladies Sanitary Products, Travel Size Lotion and Menís Clothing:
especially pants, are in short supply at the neighborhood ministry! It would be greatly appreciated if you can help.
Safe Space: Our Fellowship Hall is open from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM Sunday through Friday. You are welcome to watch TV, use the computers, telephone and restrooms, or just hang out.
Breakfast: Served Sunday through Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 am. Breakfast usually includes eggs and/or pancakes, coffee, rolls, juice etc.
Lunch: Served Sunday through Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. With our hot lunch including a main dish, vegetable, salad, bread, fruit and desert whenever possible. Every third Sunday has a BBQ!
Toiletries: We have personal hygiene products including razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, lotion, band aids as well as other miscellaneous items available in travel sizes.
Art Room: Art supplies will be provided, Everyone is Welcome! Available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Computer Lab: Our computer room is closed fo remodeling
Clothes Closet: Our community clothes closet is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas: Clinica de Salud, a local health care provider, brings their mobile clinic staffed with a doctor and sometimes dentist every Tuesday from 9:00 to 4:00.
Prescription Assistance: After you see the doctor from Clinica de Salud, we will help you with your prescriptions whenever funds are available. Funding for seniors (60+) is generously provided by Episcopal Senior Housing.
Twelve Step Groups: As part of our continuing search for wholeness and recovery from unhealthy addictions, our facility hosts over 40 confidential small group meetings weekly.
VA Palo Alto Health Care System Housing Resource Group: Representatives are here every Tuesday morning to provide information and assist veterans with VA Transitional Housing, Senior Housing, Local Shelters, Financial Benefits, DD214 requests, Family Housing, Clean and Sober Living Environments, California State Veteran Homes as well as local food banks, free meal sites and drop-in centers. Come at 10:00am for support and 11:00am for housing.
Meals are provided in partnership with Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Curch, Wednesday Morning Bible Study Groupand Martha's Kitchen (San Jose Ca.) and many other generous groups. Generous financial support provided by the citizens of Salinas, the Los Altos United Methodist Church and the California Nevada Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, among many other groups and individuals.
